A prick or Rich and Nerdy

"Are you still working?" - A fellow stopped me on Holborn Circus, right by our base. It was very late, something like 4.30 am, and I simply wanted to go home. "Where would you like to go?" "Picadilly Circus!" He looked all right, albeit somewhat nerdy, so I didn't ask for the money in advance. Just named my price. He said: "Fine!" and  got on. As I moved on he asked quickly: "How long?" I told him It was between ten and fifteen minutes. I worked my way uphill, towards Chancery Lane station, wanting to get done promptly with the job and come back. Things like that don't happen very often, one doesn't usually get any jobs right by the base. The unpredictable could be the worse, or the best thing in life, depending on how you play it. I was slightly annoyed by the fact, that he hired me when I had one leg already at the base but who gets really annoyed, while earning money? I gave up thinking, just put myself to it. I had to stop at the red lights, about four times. It didn't slow me down much and soon I got to Cambridge Circus. I'm absolutely sure it took me under ten minutes altogether. I stopped at the red light there, too. Suddenly the nerdy fellow shouted:
"You are taking too long! I CHECKED WITH MY GPS! It's taking too long! How much to here?!" - He jumped off my rickshaw like an angry, spoiled child. I simply couldn't believe it... Did my best to keep my cool, though, and started to persuade him: "We nearly there. The charge is the same. Jump back on. We'll be there in two minutes!" "NOOOO! It's taking too long! I'm stopping that Taxi!" - he flagged a black cab down - "I'll give you five pounds less, OK?" He opened his wallet and exposed a thick layer of dosh down there. I didn't even want to listen to this horseshit. "It's the same charge! We are two minutes away." - I repeated. He tried to pass some money to me, clearly wanting to fuck off ASAP. I felt cheated and angry. You can not be violent towards anyone unless he punches you first. Had he chosen to walk away I wouldn't have stood many chances to stop and charge him without putting my hands on him. It would get pretty awkward by that time, anyway... I really felt abused and, surely, the fury flashed in my eyes when I said to him: "Stop fucking with me!" He hesitated. I said that again, probably a bit more passionately... He paid me the price we previously agreed, then, and went towards that cab. As I drove away I kept watching him talking to the taxi driver. I guess he got refused for the cab didn't move for a long while. The driver probably explained to that fucker that he was practically there... What a fucking nons!!!
Perhaps I didn't dedicate enough attention to him, on the way. Most people are like children, anyway, and I should had known better. We learn something new everyday. That lesson was about a customer service - nerdy and rich people are vain and selfish. Not only they like to be served. As they get bored easily, they also need to be entertained. I could possibly make much more money with that mummy's boy. Had I kept his mind busy with a conversation, he wouldn't have had time for his smartphone and if ignorance is bliss then blessed are the blessing.

Dickhead

I just came from Beak Street. Right around the corner, on Regent Street, I saw a black cab. A guy with two women were getting on it (one female was already inside). That instant some other, well boozed fellow came quickly towards them. Suddenly I realised that he was some drunk boor, especially when shouting something unintelligible, he strongly pushed the other gent. I heard the other one asking in puzzlement: "Are you serious"? The drunkard started to shout insults and push both the other guy and first woman. Second one emerged from the cab only to be pushed too. It seemed to be a kind of an argument over who was first to flag that taxi down, but cabbie took no parts and was just waiting. I stopped behind the taxi and watched, wandering if that lunatic would really start punching them. The attacker was mad and drunk, red-faced , his eyes frenzied. He was ordering those people to get on that cab and be gone. They kept trying to reason with him for a while, to no effect though. He was constantly threatening them with violence, rising his fists and counting to three. By the way, I doubt he could count any better than that. "GET ON THE FUCKING CAB!!! I'M COUNTING! ONE! TWO! THREE!" Eventually those women persuaded the other fellow to actually leave that place on that cab, immediately. All of the sudden there where just two of us left. As he got closer I looked him in the eyes, smiled and asked quickly: "All right mate?!" "FUCK OFF!" He screamed and walked around my trike. He crossed Regent St and kept going towards Hedon St. There are some cash machines in the corner. I followed him wandering what would happen next. There, by the cash points, stood three smartly dressed gents and a lady. That ruffian approached them briskly. Again fists up, foam at the mouth, counting to three, he pushed one of them, then, repeatedly, another. They were regular people so just asked him to stop it and go away. He wasn't up for it at all. God only knows what would have happened if, suddenly, a police car hadn't arrived. That instant the wolf turned shepherd... As I was about to leave, that bully, smiling innocently, started to talk in a very friendly manner to questioning him police officer. I hope they didn't fall for it...

To Old Street with a hottie

One night me and my mate we parked in Perry`s Pl by Oxford St chatting idly and waiting in vain. Time was passing coldbloodedly. Suddenly I saw a hottie. Tall, blond and absolutely fit she approached me and asked: "How much to Old Street?" A closer look revealed that in fact she was about forty years old. Nevertheless she was really good looking and most certainly very experienced as well. Not to mention her conspicuous shitfacedness. Unfortunately I was on duty that night and therefore I was expected somewhere else in about forty minutes. Considering that I didn`t feel like going as far as Old St. I tried to explain that to her. I also suggested that my mate would take her anywhere she likes. "Of what age are you?" - she smiled at me - "I`ll give you that much if you take me there." She named a round sum and I stopped hesitating.
We moved. Before we reached the bottom of New Oxford St she ordered: "Stop! Stop! I need to pee!" I turned left into Museum St to find a quiet place for her to discharge the bladder. She quickly jumped off my trike telling me neither to watch her peeing nor to go away with her purse. Fortunately I`m not much of a Peeping Tom, especially when it comes to drunk peeing women, or a thief. As we were carrying on towards Old St she tried to call someone a few times but clearly wasn`t answered. She left some whispering voicemail instead and it seemed to me that she was sobbing. After a while I got to the roundabout by Old St. station and we stopped there. "Take me a bit further!" she demanded sitting on my rickshaw. An experienced rickshaw rider knows all too well how elusive a term is "a bit further", therefore I asked her quickly: "Where about exactly?" "Just to Hackney Farm!" "Well, first of all I`m runnig late, you know, and secondly I would charge you more for that." "Come on! Take me home!" Her smile was full of spicey promises. Now that was a hard nut to crack! As I mentioned before, that night, I had things to do and places to go... Actually I was late already. Her invitation, however tempting, was unacceptable. "I`ll stop a black cab for you!" I said. I managed to wave down two. She didn`t move. I explained my situation. She didn`t care. I started to beg her. She kept smiling innocently. My position was pretty awkward. I was on duty and because of her I was proving to be negligent. We already spent there at least half an hour. She saw me growing uneasy. I did my best not to be rude but finally I said plainly that I was not taking her anywhere. She got very angry. "You didn`t even ask my phone number!" she sputtered. That said she walked away with passion, her fury manifesting itself in her every movement.
